Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About the Role:

The Digital Fundraising Manager I plays a key role in advancing the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s digital and peer-to-peer fundraising efforts. This position is responsible for driving donor engagement, growing revenue, and delivering compelling digital experiences that connect supporters with our mission to end hunger.

Reporting to the Manager II, Annual Giving, the Program Manager works cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to plan and execute high-impact digital campaigns that support organizational goals. From deploying email appeals and building donation forms to managing peer-to-peer fundraising platforms and analyzing campaign performance, this role combines strategy, creativity, and technical know-how to elevate the Food Bank’s online presence and fundraising success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the execution of the annual giving digital fundraising strategy in partnership with external vendors, including:
    • Manage and deploy approximately 60 email appeals annually, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance benchmarks.
    • HTML coding, audience segmentation in Luminate Online, A/B testing, and donation form creation.
  • Collaborate on, create, review, and deploy the monthly email newsletter, ensuring high-quality content and alignment with organizational messaging.
  • Design and execute event invitation emails, recruitment emails, and coaching emails for marquee fundraising events like the Hunger Walk Run, driving participation and engagement.
  • Build and maintain robust peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns on platforms like TeamRaiser and Classy, supporting key events and community fundraising initiatives.
  • Implement communication plans for peer-to-peer events to recruit, register, retain, recognize, and equip participants, fundraisers, and donors.
  • Optimize the online donation process, ensuring seamless functionality and timely updates to donation autoresponders.
  • Drive growth of the email database through innovative strategies to collect new addresses and reduce unsubscribes.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to refine digital fundraising strategies.
  • Manage and optimize the Food Bank’s digital fundraising platforms, including Double the Donation, Luminate Online, Classy, and TeamRaiser, ensuring technical functionality, donor experience, and data integrity
  • Research and recommend opportunities to expand digital and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.

Stakeholder Support & Platform Management

  • Provide high-quality technical support to online donors, peer-to-peer participants, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Serve as a resource for donor inquiries, maintaining positive relationships through thoughtful, timely, and polite responses.
  • Monitor and manage the general information inbox, responding to or forwarding inquiries to appropriate staff.

Cross-Team Coordination & Data Integrity

  • Collaborate with the Donor Services team to ensure accurate coding of online gifts in the CRM for reporting, acknowledgment, recognition, and cultivation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to align digital fundraising strategies across channels for an integrated approach.
  • Contribute to the Development team’s goal-setting and process improvement efforts, actively supporting revenue generation initiatives.
  • Provide onsite and offsite support for Food Bank events and activities as needed.

What You’ll Need: Skills Your Resume Should Demonstrate:

  • Working knowledge of fundraising best practices, benchmarks, and digital fundraising trends.
  • Proven experience with basic HTML coding, especially for email marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize donor databases or CRMs (e.g., Luminate Online, Salesforce) and strong understanding of audience segmentation.
  • Experience managing peer-to-peer fundraising platforms such as TeamRaiser or Classy.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including email content creation and donor communications.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and managing timelines independently.
  • Proven customer service skills, with experience supporting donors and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing best practices including A/B testing and online donation optimization.

Even Better if You Have:

  • Familiarity with Luminate Online, Luminate TeamRaiser, Classy, and/or other email marketing and online fundraising platforms.
  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge NXT.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Graphic design experience
