Job summary

Contact Discovery Services is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to perform on-site and remote data collections and forensic analysis. You will coordinate with legal teams and client IT, maintain tools, and drive complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Digital Forensic or CS/Engineering degree with 3+ years of experience, proficiency in major forensic tools, and willingness to travel. Excellent communication and mentoring skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Digital Forensic Science or Computer Science/Engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant forensic experience covering lifecycle, evidence acquisitions, and analysis.
• Experience with standard forensic tools: Axiom, EnCase, Cellebrite, FTK Imager, Digital Collector.
• Understanding of Mac/Windows filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption.
• Experience preserving desktops, laptops, mobiles, servers, cloud and on-premise data forensically.
• Strong communication, written and verbal, with clients and team.
• Willingness to travel on short notice and valid passport.
• Ability to document workflows and mentor teammates.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collections and analysis on-site and remotely.
• Coordinate with legal teams and client IT to define scope.
• Maintain and stay current with forensic tool updates and options.
• Collaborate with project management to complete complex projects.
• Develop and refine procedures to meet discovery requirements.
• Manage chain of custody per evidentiary rules.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Quality-check work before delivering to clients.
