Job summary

CGS is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to focus on preservation and collection of mobile device and cloud‑stored data, with a broad range of forensic technologies. The role involves on‑site presence at the primary office, travel for on‑site collection, and collaboration with legal teams and client IT departments.

The candidate should have 1+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with standard forensic tools, and a willingness to develop procedures and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• Minimum undergraduate degree, preferably digital forensics or CS/engineering.
• 1+ years of relevant experience with forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisitions, and intermediate analysis.
• Experience with EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1 Social Discovery, Logicube Falcon.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collection and basic analysis on-site and remotely.
• Coordinate with legal teams or client IT to define project scope.
• Maintain and update forensic toolsets with new versions and options.
• Collaborate with project management and teammates to complete complex projects under deadlines.
• Help develop and refine procedures to meet discovery requirements.
• Maintain chain-of-custody best practices and ensure evidence integrity.
• Perform quality checks on work products prior to client delivery.
• Assist manager with additional IT duties as needed.
