Job summary

Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Digital Evidence Technician to preserve and archive digital evidence, process media, and respond to requests. The role involves operating processing equipment, ensuring chain of custody, and assisting external agencies with media retrieval.

The successful candidate will handle BWC media, manage large volumes of digital files, and provide accurate reports for lab requests while adapting to evolving software and storage systems.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required; related experience may substitute on a case-by-case basis.
• Experience: at least 1 year in an office setting; familiarity with digital media is a plus.
• Knowledge of discovery procedures and evidence handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide discovery to DA's Office including BWC videos, photos, and related digital data.
• Manage and organize digital evidence files and maintain chain of custody.
• Operate digital media processing equipment and assist with image/video editing.
• Support external agencies with photo requests and maintain inventory.
