Job summary

GBH in Boston seeks a Digital Designer for Corporate Sponsorship to craft the overall look of marketing materials for Local and National Sponsorship teams, with a 50/50 project split. Responsibilities include creating one-sheets, PowerPoint decks, digital ads, email campaigns, and e-newsletters; updating marketing websites via the CMS; and collaborating with GBH’s Creative department.

Strong design foundation in typography and color, ability to meet deadlines, and experience with WordPress,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years working in marketing and/or design.
  • 1–3 years’ experience with WordPress design elements and templates.
  • Experience with email campaign platforms (HubSpot, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Dynamics 365).
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills; ability to design for presentations and digital media.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and update marketing materials including one-sheets, PowerPoint presentations, digital ads, email campaigns, and e-newsletters.
  • Work with Marketing staff to create and execute design components of marketing outreach activities (paid ads, premiums, infographics).
  • Create content for and update the marketing websites using the CMS.
  • Act as resource for Corporate Sponsorship team for design and technical assistance.
  • Function as liaison with GBH’s Creative department when appropriate.

Our current hybrid approach requires staff to work onsite a minimum of two days each week, every Tuesday and Wednesday, Hybrid staff are also welcome to come in additional days each week or may be asked to come in on other days by their manager.JOB OVERVIEW:The Digital Designer for GBH Corporate Sponsorship reports to the Director of Marketing, National Corporate Sponsorship. This position creates the overall look and design for all marketing materials for both the Local and National Sponsorship Marketing teams to secure funding. The time split between National Corporate Sponsorship and Local Corporate Sponsorship will be 50/50, although that will vary by week.The Digital Designe r for Corporate Sponsorship requires the skills to present fresh design ideas, and the ability to take them from concept through their final execution, in a variety of media. A strong foundation in fundamentals of composition, typography, graphic form, and color theory is a must. This position requires someone with a marketing background who knows what materials will appeal to advertising/marketing decisionmakers and can collaborate with other departments in the Foundation. Strong organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to pay extremely close attention to detail. The ability to meet deadlines is a must. This position requires someone who is self-directed and can work independently once assignments have been discussed/given.Projects include a wide range of sales presentations and collateral material for both Local and National sales teams—promoting public media audiences that consume PBS/NPR/GBH programming, and graphically interpreting research data to increase sales.
