Job summary

Express is seeking a Digital Design Intern for the PHOENIX Internship Program at our Columbus, OH headquarters. You will develop digital marketing designs, create campaigns aligned with brand standards, and support marketing leaders across projects this summer.

You will work full-time for 10 weeks (June 2–August 5), relocate if needed, and join a collaborative, mentorship‑driven environment that emphasizes learning, teamwork, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability for 40 hours per week.
• Must relocate to the Columbus office.
• Commit to the full 10-week program (June–August).
• Preferred GPA at or above 3.2.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative design solutions for digital marketing materials.
• Design campaigns weekly, monthly and quarterly using brand templates and guides.
• Execute directions from creative and marketing leaders.
• Independently manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Create best-in-class customer experiences and tell the brand story.
• Finalize digital assets in correct formats for handoff.

Overview

The PHOENIX Internship Program is a 10-week, paid program that offers rising Junior and Senior undergraduates and graduate students the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced professionals while gaining exposure to a multi-brand retail company.

The internship program provides hands‑on experience in an area of interest and cross‑functional collaboration while developing valuable professional skills.

PHOENIX Retail, LLC is a retail platform operating the Express and Bonobos brands worldwide. Express is a multichannel apparel brand dedicated to a design philosophy rooted in modern, confident and effortless style whether dressing for work, everyday or special occasions. Bonobos menswear brand is known for being a style instigator and offering perfect-fit risks through our innovative retail model and personalized experience.

The Digital Design Internship position will support our Express brand. The Summer 2027 Internship Program takes place from June 2nd to August 5th. This internship is located at our Headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

• Develop innovative design solutions for digital marketing materials
• Design weekly, monthly and quarterly campaigns using templates, toolkits and style guides, with an understanding of brand standards
• Efficiently execute tactical direction from creative and marketing leaders
• Independently manage workload and meet deadlines
• Approach all projects with the mindset to create best‑in‑class customer experiences
• Understand and execute the brand narrative and storytelling
• Finalize digital creative for handoff, ensuring all assets are optimized and in correct format
