Job summary

Solidus Technical Solutions seeks a skilled Digital Design Engineer to join our defense engineering team in Tucson, AZ. This onsite role requires an active Secret security clearance and focuses on designing, developing, and implementing digital circuitry across the product lifecycle.

The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, architectures, and validation strategies for digital components, emphasizing detail, analysis, and modern design methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field; 2 years of experience, or Master’s degree at entry level.
• Experience in electronics circuit design and multi‑assembly system design (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Proficiency with schematic capture, layout, and signal/power integrity analysis tools.
• Experience developing and supporting complex, multi‑layer circuit card assemblies.
• Collaborative team environment fit.

Responsibilities

• Create requirements and perform analysis for digital designs.
• Perform parts selection and trade studies.
• Capture schematics and contribute to layout processes.
• Lab checkout and integration of hardware using test plans and lab equipment.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

This position requires onsite in Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is seeking a skilled and collaborative Digital Design Engineer to join our defense engineering team.

The Digital Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing digital circuitry and systems that support the organization's hardware and technology initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, create efficient architectures, and validate digital components throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly analytical, and experienced in modern digital design methodologies.

Day in the Life:

• Requirements Creation & Analysis
• Parts Selection & trade studies
• Schematic Capture & Involvement with the Physical Layout process
• Lab checkout & integration of HW utilizing test plan and lab equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 2 years of experience with a Bachelor's or entry level with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
• Experience in the development and design of electronics circuit designs, multi-assembly system/unit design such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART
• Proficiency with electronic design and simulation tools across schematic creation, layout, and signal/power integrity analysis
• Experience developing and supporting complex, multi‑layer circuit card assemblies
• Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment
