The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Information and Spectrum Warfare Directorate, Spectrum Warfare Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, seeks a Digital Design Analysis Engineer at the DR-03 (GS-14 or equivalent) level in Dayton, OH.

The selected candidate will lead engineering efforts on advanced electronic systems, apply analytical methods to assess devices such as microprocessors and FPGAs, and manage budgets and program assignments to advance AFRL capabilities.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience analyzing/designing complex electronic systems involving microprocessors and/or FPGAs.

Responsibilities

  • Leads engineering work focused on advanced characterization & assessment of military critical electronic systems.
  • Applies professional scientific knowledge in development of methods to assess & evaluate the capabilities of a variety of specialized devices.
  • Ensures the execution of high-quality, DAF-relevant research addressing AFRL defined capability gaps.
  • Supports management for personnel oversight and assignment to AFRL/RF approved programs.
  • Responsible for financial management, planning and technical execution of the research team's budget.
  • Works with branch leadership, PMs & RF Technical Area Leads to integrate the team’s efforts in support of the overall AFRL strategy.
  • Leads and facilitates the execution of the day-to-day technical activities within the team, engages with DAF, DoD & OGAs to support research activities, identifies potential technology transitions impacting defined S&T capability gaps.

The Information and Spectrum Warfare Directorate, Spectrum Warfare Division, located at Wright-Patterson AFB, is seeking to hire a Digital Design Analysis Engineer, at the DR-03 (GS-14 or equivalent) level.

Position Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
