Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities as a contractor for the technology owner will be as follows:

  • Oversee clash detection, coordination, and model validation processes.
  • Manage the creation, review, and approval of digital models and associated data.

Digital Delivery Leadership:

  • Drive the adoption of digital delivery methods and technologies across projects.
  • Coordinate the integration of BIM with other digital tools, including GIS, IoT, and construction management software.
  • Promote the use of digital twins, 4D/5D modeling, and other advanced visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align digital delivery strategies with project objectives.

Team Coordination and Training:

  • Provide leadership and support to project teams on BIM and digital delivery practices.
  • Facilitate training sessions to upskill project teams in BIM tools and processes (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related queries and issues.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in digital delivery.

Data Management and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor adherence to BIM requirements, protocols, workflows, and quality standards.
  • Perform regular audits of models and project data to ensure compliance with agreed deliverables.
  • Support the development and implementation of data management policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to align BIM and digital delivery goals.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings to resolve BIM issues and optimize workflows.
  • Support procurement processes by ensuring that BIM requirements are embedded in contracts and scopes.

Innovation and Technology Adoption:

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and workflows to enhance digital delivery capabilities.
  • Pilot innovative approaches such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), or machine learning applications in project delivery.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in BIM and construction technology.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare regular progress reports on BIM and digital delivery activities for project stakeholders.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices to inform future projects.
  • Support the preparation of digital assets for handover to facility management teams.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience working in a digital delivery environment, including BIM, VDC, Common Data Environments, standards or document management, or similar fields.
  • Experience working on data center projects is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Eagerness to learn
  • Proactive and assertive
  • Adaptive to different stakeholder personas
  • Effective and confident communicator that can lead meetings
  • Problem solver and documentation advocate

Managerial Skills:

  • Can self-manage their workload without additional management oversight
  • Intermediate understanding of delivery phases, including concept, design, pre-construction, construction, and commissioning
  • Can effectively document all lessons learned and follow up on tasks and assignments
  • Preparation of reports and standard operating procedures
  • You are tech savvy and like solving problems (i.e. improving workflows, automating repetitive tasks, troubleshooting).
  • You are proactive and enjoy learning new software programs.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where every day is different.
  • You can manage and prioritize multiple clients/projects at the same time.
  • You are skilled in information gathering and technical discovery techniques.
  • You work well independently but also in a team-oriented culture.
  • You enjoy traveling and are comfortable with flexible working situations.
