Job summary

Neal R. Gross and Co. is seeking a Digital Court Reporter to join our team based in New York. You will digitally record and report proceedings, draft executive summaries and meeting minutes, and ensure quality control of final transcripts across diverse venues.

We provide comprehensive paid training in DC for up to two weeks; candidates must reside in NY and be prepared for travel. Strong attention to detail, independence, and excellent English are essential for success at NRGCo.

Qualifications

• Previous Digital Court Reporting experience is required.
• New York notary status is preferred (or ability to obtain).
• Must be willing to travel and work across multiple venues.
• Ability to pass security screening for access to client sites.

Job description

Neal R. Gross and Co. is growing our team of Digital Court Reporters. We are a leading Court Reporting and Transcription services company based out of the Washington, DC area. As a trained Court Reporter, you will use specialized equipment to create an accurate record of proceedings in numerous noteworthy places including legal courts, non-profit board rooms, and even Congressional committee hearings. This position requires a focused and motivated candidate with the ability to work in an autonomous setting.

Training and Equipment

NRGCo provides comprehensive paid training to new hires in order to provide you with the tools necessary to succeed. Applicants must be willing to train in DC for up to 2 weeks. All equipment, hardware, and software are provided.

Location: We are looking for candidates based in New York (must reside in NY)

At NRGCo you will:

• Represent the company in a professional manner at a variety of proceedings at a range of locations (primarily in New York, with opportunity for domestic and international travel).
• Interact with high-level clients (Federal Govt, State Govt, Private Industry)
• Digitally record and report proceedings
• Proofread to ensure quality control on final work product
• Write executive summaries and meeting minutes for a variety of proceedings
