Job description

Position Overview

A leading fashion and lifestyle retailer is hiring two Digital Content Specialists to join its Organic Social Creative team. This is a highly hands-on creative position focused on developing fun, engaging, social-first video and graphic content for Instagram and TikTok, with occasional content for Pinterest and other platforms.

Approximately 90% of the role will involve hands-on content creation and editing, with the remaining 10% focused on production coordination and organization. The ideal candidate is a strong video editor who understands social trends, enjoys fashion, and can bring fresh ideas from concept through final delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Create and edit a high volume of original organic social assets, including short-form videos and static graphics.
  • Develop platform-native content for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and other social channels.
  • Brainstorm and pitch original content concepts based on products, trends, and campaign priorities.
  • Capture, edit, resize, and prepare content according to platform specifications.
  • Support approximately 30 net-new social assets per week across the creative team.
  • Source visual inspiration and stay current on emerging social media trends.
  • Order and coordinate product samples, props, and other content-production materials.
  • Help organize and maintain the team’s product sample closet.
  • Route creative for internal review, incorporate feedback, and deliver final assets on schedule.
  • Support seasonal campaigns, product launches, and other high-volume content initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Associate Art Directors, copywriters, content specialists, and social marketing partners.
  • Assist Art Directors with additional creative and production-related projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong video-editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Graphic design experience with a solid understanding of layout, typography, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • Portfolio demonstrating social content creation, video editing, and design capabilities.
  • Strong familiarity with Instagram and TikTok content, trends, formats, and audience behavior.
  • Ability to create content specifically for social platforms rather than simply adapting long-form content.
  • Strong creative ideation skills and the ability to explain design and editing decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Collaborative, reliable, and comfortable receiving and implementing creative feedback.
  • Ability to work onsite in Manhattan Tuesday through Thursday.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator; advanced proficiency is not required.
  • Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or a comparable collaborative design platform.
  • Experience creating content for fashion, retail, beauty, apparel, lifestyle, or other consumer brands.
  • Background in an agency, production studio, in-house creative team, or freelance environment.
  • Experience coordinating product samples, props, content capture, and production logistics.
  • Familiarity with Pinterest and YouTube content.
  • Ability to develop creative concepts before receiving a finalized brief.
  • Interest in fashion, culture, and trend-driven social storytelling.
Experience Level

The team is targeting candidates with approximately one to three years of relevant experience but is open to recent graduates with strong portfolios and more experienced professionals who enjoy hands-on content creation.

Team Environment

The Digital Content Specialists will join a small, collaborative organic social creative group that includes two Associate Art Directors and an existing Digital Content Specialist. The broader social team includes approximately nine professionals across creative, copy, and marketing.

Because the team is lean and highly collaborative, these individuals will have meaningful opportunities to pitch ideas, introduce emerging trends, and directly influence social content.
