Job summary

NorthWestern Energy is seeking an Intern Digital Content Development to support the Communications and Creative team in creating, publishing, and managing digital content across channels.

The role offers hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, digital marketing, and asset organization, with opportunities to work on photography, video, and graphics projects. This temporary, part-time internship runs Sept 2026–May 2027 and coordinates with the student’s class schedule.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or Journalism.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Must have completed freshman level or higher by start date and be in good academic standing; GPA required in resume.
• Videography, writing or photography experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
• Get Into Energy certification is a plus; be customer oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Monitor social channels for engagement, trends, feedback, and performance.
• Draft, schedule, and publish content across social platforms.
• Collaborate on social campaigns and content calendars.
• Research trends and opportunities for content.
• Track social metrics and respond to inquiries as directed.
• Update and maintain website content and ensure accessibility.
• Assist with website audits, content organization, and migrations.
• Create written, visual, and multimedia content across channels.
• Assist with photography, video, editing, and graphics.
