Job summary

KRTV in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Digital Content Producer to turn breaking news into compelling digital stories across web, social, video, and streaming platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in digital media, journalism, or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed for the role (required).

Responsibilities

• Create and publish original digital stories from breaking news, enterprise reporting, press releases, and tips.
• Write engaging headlines, alerts, and teases while enhancing content with multimedia elements like maps, slideshows, and embeds.
• Post and promote content across social media platforms to increase engagement and web traffic.
• Edit video content and optimize metadata for YouTube, website, app, OTT, and third-party platforms.
• Build, manage, and monitor livestreams across multiple digital platforms.
• Design and edit platform-specific social media graphics to support storytelling.
• Support online coverage of breaking news, major events, and severe weather with urgency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with editorial and technical teams to deliver content across video, audio, still images, and graphics.
• Develop special site sections and features to enhance coverage and drive user engagement.
• Monitor performance metrics and apply SEO best practices to optimize reach and user experience.
