Job summary

Marine Corps Heritage Foundation in Quantico, VA seeks a Digital Communications Special Assistant to create engaging digital content for social media, websites, and outreach initiatives. You will work with the Chief of Strategic Communications to translate concepts into visual products, manage social channels, and support events and public programs.

The role is in-person at Quantico with a potential hybrid schedule after onboarding; requires a bachelor’s degree and proficiency in graphic design

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in history, education, marketing, communications, or similar.
Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software.
Basic understanding of social media platforms and their audiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creative mindset with ability to produce visually appealing content.

Responsibilities

Design and produce digital communications products using Canva, Photoshop, or similar software, maintaining branding consistency.
Collaborate with Chief of Strategic Communications to translate concepts into engaging digital content.
Assist in managing social media platforms by scheduling, publishing, and monitoring engagement.
Research and develop content for campaigns by identifying historical resources and drafting copy.
Assist with photography and basic photo editing at events and programs for digital/print use.
Support public outreach activities and special events as assigned.
