Job summary

Church on the Rock Alaska is seeking a Digital Communications Director to strengthen our online presence, help new people discover who we are, and create meaningful opportunities for our church family and online community to stay connected and engaged.

This is a full-time position reporting directly to the XPO and/or Central Media Director, overseeing social media, website content, online ministry, and graphic communications to support our mission.

Qualifications

• Born-again believer and active in church life.
• Experience leading volunteer teams and coordinating projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Current screening form and background check on file, & Partnership signed.

Responsibilities

• Lead Church on the Rock's digital presence through social media and website content, reaching people beyond our walls and strengthening connection within the church family.
• Create engaging digital content including reels, stories, posts, sermon clips, ministry highlights, and promotional media.
• Lead and coordinate the Capture Crew in gathering photos and video content during services and events.
• Monitor analytics and platform performance, making adjustments to improve reach, engagement, and effectiveness.
• Serve as Lead Moderator for Online services and events; recruit and train volunteer online moderators; foster a welcoming online environment; manage prayer requests and follow-ups.
• Design promotional graphics and maintain visual identity across digital communications; partner with Media Director to prioritize projects and timelines.
