Job summary

Cedar Mill Bible Church in Portland, OR seeks a Design & Communications Director to manage the church's visual identity across digital and print platforms. The person will oversee aesthetics, produce high-quality visual content, and reflect the church’s mission in all communications.

The role leads graphic design for sermons, branding, weekly emails, and website updates, while coordinating volunteers and contractors for social media, photography, and video production.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating creative work is required
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with MailChimp
• Experience with Squarespace
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Experience with video production or willingness to learn
• Willingness to collaborate with team members and volunteers

Responsibilities

• Graphic design: create artwork for sermon series and adapt designs for slides, announcements, digital signage, motion graphics, and media
• Communications: unify visual and narrative style of materials and design weekly email newsletters
• Administrative duties: gather requests, plan and schedule communications, distribute materials across platforms
• Website management: update events calendar and ministry pages, ensure up-to-date content
• Lead a team of volunteers/contractors for social media, photography, and video production; plan, shoot, and revise as needed
