Job description

The Wireless Infrastructure Association is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Digital Communications Coordinator to support the execution of communications across social media, web, and email channels. As a member of the Communications Team, this role will work closely within internal and external stakeholders to develop content, engage audiences, and support campaigns that advance the association’s priorities.

Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, the ideal candidate is a strong writer with an interest in digital storytelling, eager to learn platform best practices, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to build experience across social media, website content, and email marketing while contributing to high-impact industry initiatives.

Through highly engaging digital content, the Digital Communications Coordinator will effectively tell the story of how wireless infrastructure, powered by an effective workforce, is enabling connectivity everywhere.

Responsibilities
Social Media Management
  • Support the development and execution of social media content across WIA channels
  • Draft and schedule posts, including copy, graphics, and short‑form video
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments/messages as appropriate, and elevate key engagement opportunities
  • Track basic performance metrics and assist in reporting and optimization efforts
  • Stay current on emerging social media trends and platform updates
Content Management
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and develop content opportunities
  • Draft and edit blog posts, press releases, newsletters, membership emails, and other digital content
  • Assist in maintaining website content, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Support campaign execution to promote events, membership initiatives, and advocacy priorities
  • Assist with basic SEO best practices, including keyword use and content structure
  • Leverage emerging tools, including AI‑assisted platforms, to support content creation, research, and workflow efficiency
Email Management
  • Assist with the development and deployment of email campaigns
  • Support list management and basic audience segmentation in HubSpot and Meltwater
  • Help track email performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement
  • Collaborate with teams to align messaging across email and other channels
  • Maintain content calendars to ensure consistent communication
Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience or relevant internships in communications, marketing, public affairs, or related field
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to tone and audience
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube, Others)
  • Basic experience or exposure to content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and email platforms (e.g., HubSpot) preferred
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) and an interest in developing visual content skills
  • Understanding of digital communication principles and interest in analytics and performance tracking
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Self‑starter who takes initiative, works independently, and contributes effectively within a collaborative team
  • Positive, can‑do attitude with a sense of humor and enthusiasm for contributing to a creative, high‑energy team culture
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest in wireless, infrastructure, or technology policy
  • Experience in a trade association and/or political environment
