Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a Student Associate – Digital Collections Services at the Harry Ransom Center. You will digitize materials and create metadata records, working independently with moderate supervision to support our digital collections.

Qualifications

• Students must be enrolled at UT Austin.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• To be eligible for the Student Associate position for summer, one must be enrolled in at least six semester hours during the previous Spring semester.

Responsibilities

• Digitize collection materials, including flat and bound materials and photographs, to established standards using imaging capture equipment.
• Process images using appropriate software such as Photoshop and Capture One.
• Enter metadata into the database.
• Page books from the HRC stacks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
