Job description

DIGITAL CATALOG ANALYST
Position Overview

Gathr Outdoors is seeking a detail-driven Digital Catalog Analyst to own the accuracy, completeness, and commercial readiness of our product catalog across Amazon, Direct-to-Consumer, and third-party marketplace channels.

Reporting to the Director, Digital Operations, this person translates commercial priorities into a disciplined catalog and content operating model that ensures every product is set up correctly, launched on time, and merchandised to convert.

Operating with the mindset of a digital shelf owner, this leader connects item setup, product data, listing content, and launch execution to protect brand presentation and unlock profitable sell-through.

Serving as a key partner to Sales, Planning, Master Data, Creative, and external account and agency partners, this person drives alignment on content standards, data integrity, and launch readiness across brands and channels.

This role requires a unique combination of operational rigor, analytical judgment, cross-functional influence, and the ability to manage a large, complex catalog independently.

Key Responsibilities
Catalog & Digital Shelf Ownership
  • Own the accuracy, completeness, and evolution of a large, complex product catalog across Gathr's digital and marketplace channels.
  • Lead item setup, catalog maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization across Amazon and other strategic marketplace and third-party ecommerce sites, with a focus on speed, accuracy, and first-time-right execution.
  • Maintain accountability for product data through active management of product databases, syndication feeds, and channel-specific data requirements.
  • Coordinate data edits and content corrections with cross-functional and external partners, resolving issues to root cause rather than symptom.
  • Conduct regular catalog and content audits to ensure a consistent, frictionless online customer experience across every channel.
Go-to-Market & Product Launch Execution
  • Drive consistent, on-time execution of new product launches across digital and marketplace channels.
  • Ensure every launch meets the go-to-market readiness checklist for content, imagery, data, and compliance before it goes live.
  • Work across Marketing, Planning, Merchandising, Copy, Creative, and Compliance to close content gaps ahead of launch dates.
  • Serve as the go-to expert on channel content requirements and maintain a living library of standards and best practices.
Operational Excellence & Reporting
  • Build scalable catalog and content processes that improve accuracy, cycle time, and business visibility.
  • Create and maintain recurring reporting on catalog completeness and digital shelf benchmarks across strategic partner sites.
  • Keep leadership informed on current and upcoming catalog initiatives, surfacing risks early and recommending actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts that simplify processes, remove friction, and improve execution across the business.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in ecommerce catalog management, product data, digital merchandising, or marketplace operations.
  • Experience managing large, complex product catalogs and product data feeds across Amazon, Direct-to-Consumer, or third-party ecommerce sites.
  • Strong understanding of digital shelf fundamentals including item setup, product detail page content, enhanced content, and SEO principles.
  • Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally across Marketing, Merchandising, Planning, Master Data, and external account or agency partners.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate audits and performance data into actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite; experience with PIM, DAM, or database tools preferred.
  • Extensive experience using Amazon Vendor and Seller Central tools and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is equal parts operator, analyst, and brand steward. They are meticulous by instinct, comfortable driving projects independently with senior guidance, and energized by turning a complex catalog into a clean, high-performing digital shelf. They work quickly and effectively under pressure, build trust across functions and partners, and consistently translate detail-level work into measurable commercial results.
