DCG ONE is hiring a Digital Bindery Operator in Seattle to run finishing equipment for jobs from our digital printers. You will handle paper cutters, folding machines, perfect binders, and stitchers, ensuring high-quality, precise output.

Ideal candidates have bindery experience, knowledge of print production, and a commitment to efficient, accurate work. The role may require Public Trust Security Clearance and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with bindery equipment.
• Knowledge of print production and bindery/finishing processes.
• May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate bindery machinery and equipment with focus on timeliness and quality.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, measure workpiece dimensions for accuracy.
• Set stop or guide to specified length from scale, rule, or template.
• Position workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
• Detect defects or machine malfunctions, remove defective products, report issues to supervisor.
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.
• Ensure assembly practices comply with policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot problems and report findings to supervisor.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and follow safety regulations.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
