Job summary

Western Alliance Bank, a leading national bank, is seeking a Portfolio Manager I - Digital Assets in CityScape, Phoenix to analyze, structure, and underwrite Digital Asset business deposits in line with policies.

You will interface with clients and the Relationship Manager, coordinate loan processing, support underwriting, and help meet regional goals while ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field, within banking.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with Digital Assets (such as blockchain, bitcoin, cryptocurrency) is highly preferred.
• Experience with Commercial Banking Portfolio Management is highly preferred.
• Experience with KYC (know your customer) is preferred.
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, and pricing dynamics. Credit analyst training completed.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients and the Relationship Manager to assess credit needs and determine the best structure and items needed for analysis.
• Gather and analyze necessary information to present with a financing request for approval.
• Coordinate processing of approved loans; ensure compliance with lending policies and obtain documentation.
• Reinforce superior customer service through example and follow-through with customers and employees.
• Handle underwriting, portfolio management and related tasks for new loan requests and existing portfolios.
