Job summary

Guidewire’s Digital Practice is a team of engineers, UX designers, and domain experts delivering customer-facing projects for insurance clients and delivery partners. The Digital Architect will drive design and implementation of web/mobile solutions using JavaScript, React, and Guidewire’s Jutro design system.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with UX, and support migrations from AngularJS to React, with onsite travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience with web technologies.
Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Experience or willingness to learn Guidewire’s Jutro design system.
Insurance industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of web and mobile solutions using JavaScript, React (4-5+ years), and Guidewire’s Jutro design system.
Collaborate with UX designers and cross-functional teams to deliver single-page applications and digital services.
Apply expertise in CSS, SASS, automated unit testing (Jest/Enzyme), and server-side technologies (JSON/RPC, REST).
Mentor and guide development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Demonstrate strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
Support migration projects from AngularJS to React and leverage UX prototyping tools (Invision, Sketch) as needed.
Travel for onsite client engagements as required.
