Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to design and scale end-to-end architectures for P&C insurance, guiding cloud adoption and Guidewire integration. You will lead architectural decisions, mentor teams, and drive innovative solutions using AI and microservices.

This role requires 10–15+ years in IT with strong Guidewire expertise, Java, and cloud experience. Remote work is available for NYC, with a focus on enterprise transformation and governance.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in IT, with 6–10+ years specializing in Guidewire configuration, integration, and enterprise architecture.
• Deep expertise in P&C insurance operations (Policy, Claims, Billing).
• Proficiency in Gosu, Java, REST/SOAP APIs, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Exposure to automation and AI is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience leading large-scale software implementation projects and translating complex business requirements into functional specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee end-to-end technical architectures addressing complex business requirements.
• Architect and customize systems for scalability, reliability, performance, security, and long-term sustainability.
• Lead enterprise-wide architectural decisions, standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Design integration of multiple platforms and systems for seamless, scalable solutions.
• Develop microservices and APIs that integrate with Guidewire applications and new insurance workflows.
• Leverage Generative AI to enhance underwriting, claims processing, and customer service processes.
• Define and guide API, microservices, and integration strategies.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams and ensure high-quality code and configurations.
• Mentor engineers and promote innovation while adhering to governance and compliance.
