Job summary

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Digestive Care team at Regions Hospital. The Digestive Care RN will provide work direction and supervise the delegated nursing care provided within the unit; performing and documenting dependent functions such as carrying out the physician’s medical orders and coordinating patient care services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
• RNs re-entering the nursing field must complete a refresher course if not previously practiced in the last 4 years

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice in the unit
• Provide work direction and supervise delegated nursing care within the Digestive Care unit
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and treatment procedures and coordinate patient care communications
