Job summary

US Digestive Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem coverage. The RN will deliver direct nursing care to patients undergoing procedures, supervise LPNs and staff, prepare rooms and supplies, and assist with procedures while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State Registered Nurse Licensure.
• Current BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after procedures, adhering to protocols and the nursing process.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and non-licensed staff as necessary.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies, ensuring readiness for patient care.
• Assist with procedures as required, following physician orders and PA State Board guidelines.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, response to treatment, and overall condition; intervene as needed.
• Administer medications per physician orders following protocols and safety guidelines.
• Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments per infection control standards.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, and management to address nursing issues and interpret facility policies.
• Participate in performance improvement activities, infection control, emergency preparedness, safety, and quality assurance programs.
