Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Diffusion Operations shift supervisor to lead a team of 10-15 diffusion technicians, ensuring production and quality goals are met while developing the team’s technical and professional skills.

You will drive operational performance, monitor equipment status, and coordinate safety, quality, and process improvements on the shift. This on-site role emphasizes hands-on leadership and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; technical degree or equivalent military technical experience preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of semiconductor experience in high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of diffusion, TEL/Kefurnace, AMATEPI and/or CVD process and equipment preferred.
• Experience supporting equipment maintenance and process development/sustaining.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of 10–15 diffusion technicians.
• Coordinate and lead team meetings; coordinate daily workload and sustaining activities in the fab.
• Ensure timely response to out-of-control or out-of-spec conditions to minimize impact on production and quality.
• Monitor equipment status and technician response to ensure availability goals are met.
• Lead development, review and improvement of operational and technical documentation for efficiency.
• Ensure SOPs, PTPs and OCAPs are used to work safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Supervise electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting to determine and execute corrective action.

Diffusion Operations shift supervisors lead a team of technicians focused on maintaining operational condition of state-of-the-art semiconductor production equipment.

In this role, you will be responsible for team development and shift performance – balancing the development of your team’s technical and professional skills while driving achievement of key quality, production and cost performance metrics.
