Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Diffusion Process Engineer to join a high‑volume, on‑site fabrication team. You will monitor inline diffusion issues, qualify processes on advanced tools, and coordinate downtime with manufacturing groups.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.
• 2+ years of semi-conductor experience highly desired with knowledge of Diffusion processes and equipment preferred.
• Flexibility to work in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in the fab for 4 hours a day in an office environment where a cleanroom gown is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to in-line issues in the wafer fabrication Diffusion process, ensuring timely disposition of wafers.
• Qualify Diffusion processes on advanced tools for wafer fabrication.
• Coordinate process qualifications and equipment downtime with manufacturing and equipment teams.
• Analyze data using software tools to identify trends and inform processing decisions.
• Adjust process parameters as needed and monitor equipment performance after maintenance.
• Executes change point management on Diffusion processes / equipment.
• Continuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Develop device improvements with cross-departmental risk-mitigation and coordinated experiments
