Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Diffusion/Implant Chamber Equipment Engineer to support RTP and DPN chambers on AMAT Vantage and Centura platforms. You will join a team focused on maintaining optimal chamber performance, driving quality, efficiency, and cost reductions while operating 24/7.

The role requires 5+ years in semiconductors with anneal chamber experience, familiarity with 300mm diffusion/implant anneal processes, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of semiconductor experience with Anneal chambers.
• Experience with 300mm Diffusion/Implant Anneal and AMAT Centura & Vantage platforms.
• Experience with 300mm RTP and DPN equipment management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and work in a 24/7 cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Practice 6S in the office and fab with safety as a priority.
• Assist technicians with daily workload and sustain activities in the fab.
• Develop recovery plans for abnormalities and coordinate tool downs.
• Document daily tool activities and share learnings across the organization.
• Follow and improve SOPs, recovery plans, and part lists to drive efficiency.
• Maintain trainings, certifications, and medical monitoring up to date.
• Collaborate with vendor support to coordinate tool work and improvements.
• Develop projects to spread Best Known Methods for cost and defect reductions.
• Interact with other departments on process improvements and risk mitigation.
• Apply TPM and LEAN tools for long-term issue prevention.
• Manage process qualifications for new devices and tool installs.
• Standardize tool sensors across tools and analyze alarms for issues.
• Support manufacturing throughput by optimizing run-paths and recipes.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 high-volume environment.
