Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Equipment Technician to perform setup, calibration, and system support for memory chips and logic manufacturing. You will work with engineers to maintain equipment, analyze data, and follow SOPs to improve processes.

The role emphasizes problem solving, TPM concepts, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or technical training and 3+ years’ experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or technical school certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude highly desired.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Must have strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Focused on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment.
• High initiative and desire to learn.
• Familiar with TPM concepts.
• Detail and task oriented with customer service and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Follows SOPs to keep equipment/processes running effectively and respond to issues.
• Applies policies to resolve routine issues.
• Uses SOPs to perform calibration, inspections and construction tasks.
• Supports startup of new and existing equipment.
• Gathers data and inputs it into SAS systems.
• Monitors trends and escalates when deviations occur.
• Applies learnings to recommend improvements to senior staff.
• May be an ERT member.
• May generate purchase orders and order material.
• Operates and retrieves data from equipment.
• Works from schematics and defined plans.
• Adheres to best practices and local codes.
• Maintains regular attendance and timeliness.
