Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Equipment Technician to perform maintenance, calibration, and support for memory chips and logic systems. You will collect and evaluate operating data, implement process controls, and ensure adherence to SOPs while collaborating with engineers and manufacturing.

Night shifts are included (B and D shifts) with weekend rotations as needed. The role requires technical certification or equivalent experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to learn

Qualifications

• Any 2-year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc); 3+ ASE certs or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience (no cert, passes test) or 4 years equivalent technical Military service
• Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
• Skilled in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment
• Familiar with TPM concepts
• Strong attention to detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, team work and flexibility.
• Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.
• Ability to work off-hours if necessary

In your role as an Equipment Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour - $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

Night Shifts Include:

B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays

D Shift – Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays
