Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring a Campus Dietitian for The George Washington University. This full-time role sits on the Nutrition Team to advance campus wellness and nutrition education.

You will lead nutrition training, menu analysis, and dietary accommodations, while collaborating with dining, marketing, and campus partners to align with university goals. The position emphasizes hands-on service and program impact on campus dining spaces.

Qualifications

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or RD Eligible.
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one as well as group format.
  • Experience working with special diets and food allergies.
  • ServSafe® Manager Certification a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and nutrient analysis programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nutrition education & training support for the campus community including tabling, lunch & learn sessions, one-on-one counseling, etc.
  • Implements Chartwells Higher Education wellness programming
  • Coordinates with the dining management team and culinary associates to meet dietary needs for all customers
  • Provides nutrition related training including food allergen training to all associates
  • Assists the management team with menu development and nutrient analysis
  • Collaborates with marketing to ensure appropriate nutrition communication & messaging
  • Leads Dining Services Sustainability efforts – partnering with operations and campus stakeholders to track, improve, and communicate sustainability efforts in all dining spaces
  • Operational execution and oversight – hands-on work in dining spaces to serve guests, train associates, audit systems, collaborate with unit leadership, and ensure excellence in operations and culinary services
  • Partner with various campus offices, departments, and organizations to ensure alignment with university goals and needs

Job Summary
