Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. in Arlington, Texas is seeking a Dietitian to coordinate patient nutritional care under the supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services.

The role emphasizes service, safety and professionalism to deliver excellent patient care in a hospital setting. You will join a nutrition support team, perform nutritional screenings and assessments, educate patients on therapeutic diets, and collaborate with Aide staff to ensure prescribed diets are followed.

Qualifications

• CDR registration is required to practice dietetics in the U.S.
• Licensure as a Dietitian must be obtained within 90 days of start date
• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or a related field

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient nutritional care under supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services.
• Provide nutritional screenings and assessments for patients.
• Educate patients on therapeutic diets and dietary plans.
• Inform Aide staff on which patient foods are allowed per prescribed diet.
• Document patient tolerance and response to nutrition support and make recommendations

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Clinical Dietitians are responsible for coordinating patient nutritional care under the general supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services. What you will do in this role:

• You will be a member of Nutrition Support Team with the pharmacist and physician(s).
• You will provide nutritional screenings and assessments of patients.
• You will educate the patient on therapeutic diets.
• You will inform Aide staff in deciding which patient foods are allowed and disallowed based on the prescribed diet.
• You will document the patient’s tolerance, appropriateness, response to nutritional support and make recommendations.

What qualifications you will need:

• Commission Dietetic Registration
• Licensed Dietician must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree
