Description

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, is building a new rehabilitation hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Youngstown. Expected to open in 2024, this 60-bed, 66,000-square-foot, two-story, inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operating jointly with Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Mercy Health, is more than a job. What you will do in this role:

  1. Participate in the survey process; instruct staff in matters of conduct and disclosure; maintain a presence at all times while surveyors are on-site and direct the timely collection of information required by the survey team. Undertake corrective action during the survey, if appropriate; collaborate with other hospital departments to develop survey correction plans as needed.
  2. Conduct initial assessments and reassessments on all patients admitted to the hospital.
  3. Ensure proper completion of documentation (assessments, care plans, education, discharge planning).
  4. Provide oversight of the menu management process.
  5. Provide training to managers and staff on therapeutic diets, menus, food allergens, or related topics as needed.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in dietetics or a nutrition-related field
  • Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • State licensure/certification, if required by state
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred
