Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, is building a new rehabilitation hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Youngstown. Expected to open in 2024, this 60-bed, 66,000-square-foot, two-story inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operates jointly with Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Mercy Health. Role Responsibilities
  1. Participate in the survey process; instruct staff on conduct and disclosure; maintain presence during survey; direct collection of information; undertake corrective actions if needed; collaborate with hospital departments to develop survey correction plans.
  2. Conduct initial assessments and reassessments for all admitted patients.
  3. Ensure proper documentation, including assessments, care plans, education, and discharge planning.
  4. Oversee the menu management process.
  5. Provide training to managers and staff on therapeutic diets, menus, food allergens, and related topics.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in dietetics or a nutrition-related field.
  • Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • State licensure/certification, if required by the state.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
