Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated dietitian to promote health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans. You will assess patients' nutritional needs, develop and implement dietary plans, and educate on healthy eating habits during care.

In this role, you will instruct patients on post-discharge diets, monitor nutritional status, and strive to make a positive impact on individuals' lives in the community.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
• State licensure required.
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care disciplines.
• Evaluate referral orders for adequacy of nutrition intake.
• Document in the patient’s medical record according to standards.
• Implement nutrition care plans, adapt menus, and assist patients with special dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
• Review, revise, and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.
