Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Weekend Support Dietitian to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy in a Fredericksburg–area acute care setting. This role supports Mary Washington Hospital’s primary dietitian and may be onsite or remote, two weekends per month.

You will perform nutrition care, educate patients and families, and contribute to clinical initiatives. The position requires an RDN or eligible status, and a licensed dietitian in the state of practice.

Qualifications

• Must be Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or eligible for certification.
• Licensed Dietitian in the state of practice as applicable.
• Healthcare experience preferred; new graduates with clinical training encouraged to apply.

Location: Morrison Healthcare at Mary Washington Hospital

Setting: 400+ bed acute care/trauma 2 hospital

Schedule: 2 shifts per month / 8 hours per shift / 2 weekends per month. This position may be onsite in Fredericksburg, VA or remote. The Clinical Support Dietitian will work two weekends per month, for a total of 8 hours each weekend. This role supports the primary dietitian at Mary Washington and Stafford Hospital. Weekend responsibilities include custom TPNs, tube feeding calculations, malnutrition assessments, and diet education. Requirement: Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible. Salary: $30.00/hr -$32.00/hr

Job Summary

Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian! You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

• Clinical Nutrition Care: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Education: Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Evidence-Based Practice: Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
• Quality & Performance Improvement: Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Collaboration & Service Excellence: Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Mentorship & Professional Development: Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
• Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
