Job Details:

Western State Hospital, an acute care adult psychiatric facility in Hopkinsville, KY, is seeking a Dietitian to join our team. This role focuses on providing nutritional care for individuals with mental health conditions. The position involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being. It is a full-time role, 30-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule. Onsite presence is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provides medical nutrition therapy, including assessments, diet modifications, education, and interventions for patients.
  2. Follows all guidelines outlined in the Company Diet Manual and Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
  3. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient rights.
  4. Trains and mentors staff and interns as applicable.
  5. Participates in patient satisfaction, departmental meetings, and quality improvement programs.
Qualifications:
  1. Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  2. State licensure where required.
  3. One year of hospital experience preferred.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and nutrient analysis software.
