Job summary

Providence Health and Services in Richland, WA is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Specialist to develop and direct nutrition care across inpatient and infusion settings. Responsibilities include coordinating nutrition services, monitoring enteral and parenteral support, and collaborating with pharmacists on TPN patients.

The role requires RD credential and hospital/home care experience, with a Monday–Friday day schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics is required.
• Washington Dietitian Certification within 6 months of hire.
• National CDR Registered Dietitian certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct nutrition care across settings with minimal supervision.
• Assist in managing nutritional resources and decisions affecting patient care.

This position will be supporting our Richland site.

Schedule : Monday to Friday, Day shift

This position is responsible for developing, coordinating and directing all aspects of quality, cost effective, outcome-oriented clinical nutrition care under minimum supervision. Assists in the management of PIPS' nutritional resources. Responsible for decisions and judgments affecting patients total nutrition care. Facilitates improvement in patient's nutrition status to reduce complications and lower the risk of harm to the patient. Assists the pharmacists in managing the TPN patients. Clinical monitoring of enteral patients.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics


• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Dietitian Certification


• Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration


• 1 year Hospital or home care experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enteral/parenteral nutrition.


• Pediatric, adult and geriatric experience.


• Development of nutrition related forms and policies and procedures.
