Tahoe Forest Health System is seeking a registered dietitian nutritionist to lead nutrition care across acute hospital and long-term care settings, including outpatient services. The role covers diabetes management, cancer center nutrition, and care coordination, with emphasis on nutrition support and patient education.
The RD will participate in policy development, interdisciplinary rounds, and discharge planning while supporting community outreach programs.
Summary
Responsible for the implementation of quality nutritional care including patient interviews, assessment of nutritional status, intervention, and monitoring in the acute hospital and long-term care. Outpatient services areas include: Cancer Center, Diabetes Clinic, Home Health and Hospice, and Care Coordination. Focus areas include, but are not limited to, nutrition support (enteral and parental nutrition), diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disease, oncology, dysphagia, and food allergies. Interdisciplinary communication, discharge care planning, and referral to community outreach programs will also be provided as appropriate. The RDN will also serves as a resource in the development of policies and procedures related to nutritional care.

Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years relevant experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
Registered Dietician (RD) Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Nevada Dietician State of Nevada, Licensed Dietitian
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Within 3 months of hire into job
Other Experience/Qualifications
Master's Degree preferred
