Job summary

Pappas Restaurants, Inc. is hiring a Clinical Dietitian to oversee nutrition care in acute settings. You will perform nutritional assessments, manage diets and supplements ordered by physicians, and educate patients and families.

Role includes attending rounds, supporting care plans, and helping maintain nutrition policies. Texas licensure is required, with RDN credential preferred for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
• State licensure/certification as required by Texas.
• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition or related field.
• 1–2 years of clinical care in an acute care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nutrition care of patients and perform nutritional assessments.
• Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements.
• Provide nutritional education to patients and families.
• Attend patient rounds and contribute to care planning.
• Assist in maintaining clinical nutrition policies.

The Clinical Dietitian oversees the nutrition care of the patients, performing nutritional assessments, managing the physician’s orders for therapeutic diets and supplements, provides nutritional education to patients and/or families, attends patient rounds, and maintains clinical nutrition policies.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state of practice. (Texas)
• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area, granted by a US regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent.
• 1-2 years of clinical care in an acute care facility preferred.
