Job summary

Allaire Health Services is seeking a Dietitian to join our team in Morristown, NJ. The role focuses on comprehensive nutritional assessments, counseling individuals and groups, and creating tailored meal plans that respect medical, cultural, and ethical needs.

The position emphasizes documenting care, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and coordinating with referring and outpatient dietitians. A collaborative environment supports professional growth and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Completes a comprehensive nutritional assessment on each patient upon admission
• Counsels patients on principles of well-balanced nutrition in individual sessions and conducts group nutrition discussions
• Prepares individualized meal plans that consider medical, nutritional, age, cultural, religious and ethical needs
• Provides at minimum weekly individual nutritional counseling for patients and family as needed
• Provides updates on nutritional status weekly as part of team rounds/meetings and as requested
• Completes all required documentation and reports in a timely manner in compliance with policies
• Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patients' protected health information
• Monitors meals and snacks and models normal eating with patients who have disordered eating
• Communicates with referring and/or outpatient dietitians during admission, treatment, and discharge

Dietitian Responsibilities:

• Completes a comprehensive nutritional assessment on each patient upon admission
• Counsels patients on principles of well-balanced nutrition in individual sessions and conduct group nutrition discussions
• Prepares individualized meal plans that consider the needs of the patient including; medical, nutritional, age, cultural, religious and ethical concerns
• Provides at minimum weekly individual nutritional counseling for patients and family (as needed)
• Provides updates on the nutritional status of each patient weekly as part of team rounds/meetings and as requested
• Completes all required documentation and reports in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with the policies and procedures
• Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patients protected health information
• Monitors meals and snacks, including eating/modeling normal eating with eating disordered patients
• Communication with referring and/or outpatient dietitian upon admit to program, during course of treatment as needed, and upon discharge from program
