Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation invites a dedicated Dietitian to assess nutritional needs and develop nutrition plans for patients in our inpatient rehabilitation setting.

You will educate patients on healthy eating, document in medical records, and collaborate with physicians to ensure appropriate nutrition care. RD credential and state licensure are required; one year of clinical dietetics experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with CDR registration and state licensure.
• Bachelor's or higher in Food & Nutrition.
• Clinical dietetics experience preferred.
• Membership in professional body preferred (AND).

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
• Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines in patient care.
• Evaluate referral orders to determine nutrition intake adequacy.
• Document information in the patient’s medical record per standards.
• Implement care plans, adapt menus, assist with special dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
• Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
• State licensure required.
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
