Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Dietitian to promote health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans. You will assess patients, develop and implement dietary plans, and educate on healthy eating to support post-discharge goals.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State licensure required.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
• Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
• Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines in patient care.
• Evaluate referral orders to ensure adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document relevant information in the patient’s medical record.
• Implement nutrition care plans, adapt menus, and assist patients with special dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
• Review, revise, and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.
