Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Dietitian to promote health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans. You will assess patients, develop dietary strategies, educate on healthy eating, and monitor nutritional status during recovery and post-discharge plans.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and care teams to tailor nutrition care, ensure documentation accuracy, and support patient outcomes in a community-based healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian with active RD credential and state licensure.
  • Bachelor's or higher in Food & Nutrition from an accredited program.
  • One year of clinical dietetics experience preferred; membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instructions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other care team members.
  • Evaluate referral orders for adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
  • Document key patient nutrition data in medical records.
  • Implement nutrition care plans, adapt menus, and assist with dietary needs.
  • Conduct calorie counts and provide nutrition recommendations.
  • Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.

Become the Dietitian you always wanted to be

  • Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
  • Document pertinent information in the patient's medical record according to established standards.

  • Review, revise, and sign off menus for nutritional adequacy.

Qualifications

  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
  • State licensure required.
  • Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition.
  • One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
