PeaceHealth in Longview, Washington seeks a Dietitian I for a part-time, 0.6 FTE role in the Quality & Coordination department. The position involves diabetes management education and coordination with the healthcare team. The schedule includes three 8-hour shifts per week with potential partial remote work.

Requires a Master's in nutrition/dietetics and an RD license (or eligible). Washington RD certification is expected with possible Medicare provider status.

PeaceHealth is seeking a Dietitian I for a part-time role in the Quality & Coordination department in Longview, Washington. This position supports our Diabetes patients, providing goal directed diabetes management and education for patients and their families.

• Role:.6 FTE Day shift Hybrid Dietitian I
• Schedule: will work three 8-hour shifts per week with potential to work partially remote

The wage range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $33.13 – $49.69, and you'll also be eligible for a full benefits package.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of nutrition care, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Essential Functions

• Competent use of the Nutrition Care Process including nutrition assessment, identification of nutritional diagnosis, implementation of appropriate nutrition intervention, and formulation of patient specific goals, monitoring, evaluation, and follow up of outcomes.
• Using evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines, will provide nutrition education to patients and families in the outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
• Provides consult services to other healthcare providers and participates in the interdisciplinary team.
• Documents in the EMR in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations.
• When appropriate, makes referrals to other services, agencies and community resources.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Master's Degree in a related field of study(human nutrition, dietetics, foods and nutrition).
• Caregivers who earned their RD license before 1/1/2024 when a bachelor's degree was sufficient will be grandfathered.

Experience

• Required: Successful completion of AND approved internship/training program

Credentials

• Required: Registered Dietitian within 180 days or must pass Registration Exam
• Required: Washington State Certified Dietitian
• May be required: Current Medicare provider status number

Skills

• Demonstrated skill in teaching adults and pediatrics of varying competency levels. (Required)
• Must be able to design, implement, and evaluate instructional materials. (Required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Required)
• Ability to interact with a variety of departments and work independently on numerous projects simultaneously. (Required)
• Proficient in the use of computers including MS Office applications. (Required)
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs. (Required)

Working Conditions
