Qualifications

• An earned Doctoral degree in Nutrition or a closely related field is required.
• Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential or evidence to be credentialed by August 17, 2027.
• Evidence of or potential for university-level teaching effectiveness in dietetics, nutrition or closely related areas.
• Record of scholarly publications or strong potential for a productive scholarly agenda.
• Demonstrated awareness of educational goals of a socially and economically diverse student population.

Responsibilities

• Design and teach introductory and advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in nutrition and dietetics, possibly including Lifecycle Nutrition and Medical Nutrition Therapy.
• Develop and maintain an active scholarly agenda with external funding and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Participate in curriculum planning, assessment, and program development to support diverse student success.
• Advise and mentor students in academic, research, and professional development.
• Collaborate with professionals and community partners for field experiences and projects.
• Engage in professional organizations and service to governance and committees.
• Organize classes in the Canvas LMS and uphold inclusive teaching practices.

Education

Doctoral degree in Nutrition or closely related field
