Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Full-Time Dietetic Technician to join our healthcare team at Mississippi State Hospital in Whitfield, MS. You will collaborate with operations leaders, dietitians, and staff to ensure menus and food-service programs meet contract and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include managing nutritional data software, inputting information, addressing questions about nutrition and menu content, and assisting with menu planning to accommodate dietary restrictions

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience required.
• 2-year Associate’s degree from a CADE/ADA-accredited program.
• Passed the national examination to obtain Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) credential.
• 1 year of experience in nutrition sciences, medical terminology, food-service systems management and counseling.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a Full-Time Dietetic Technician to our healthcare team in Whitfield, MS. As a Dietetic Technician, you will have the opportunity to provides allergen, food safety, and wellness support on site by collaborating with operations leaders, dietitians, and staff in the food service department to ensure menus and food service programs meet the requirements of contract or regulatory programs.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing nutritional data software.
• Inputting nutritional information.
• Addressing concerns regarding nutritional information and menu content.
• Plan and design menus keeping in mind dietary restrictions
• Prepare meals, devise food programs; offer advice on good eating habits and meal planning; monitor, supervise and record the nutritional condition and requirements of the patients
• Evaluate menus and recipes; preserve records of the patients’ nutritional status and dietary progress; and help with research.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• 1 year of clinical experience.
• 2 year Associate’s degree from a program backed by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
• Passed a national examination held by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) to get the certificate of a Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR).
• 1 years' experience in food and nutrition sciences, medical terminology, food-service systems management and nutritional and management counseling.

Compensation Range:

• $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience
