Job Description

The Dietary Worker provides patient support via phone and software systems and serves as a liaison to other departments regarding patient meal services. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Function comfortably in a fast-paced, performance-based call center environment where every call is recorded and assessed to ensure performance levels are maintained.
2. Maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
3. Be adaptable to customer needs.
4. Handle patient customer service functions such as answering phones, taking menu orders, answering questions, or appropriately directing calls related to meal or nutritional needs.
5. Use software to record patient orders.
6. Maintain general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure accurate meal orders.
7. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and the Food & Nutrition team to ensure accurate patient nutrition.
8. Observe client confidentiality and adhere to safety and sanitation standards to maintain the privacy, safety, and dignity of each customer.
9. Ensure compliance with ARAMARK’s standards of operation and business conduct policies, maintaining all records and reports to meet local, state, and federal regulations.
