The Dietary/Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room area, handling dishwashing and pot responsibilities, receiving incoming deliveries, and maintaining stock in the storage and dining areas.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate competency in the criteria listed below. The specifications below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Preferably food service experience in a hospital, healthcare, or hospitality setting
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License preferred
Knowledge: Basic math, equipment usage, cleaning products, safety, and infection control practices
Supervision: Supervised by Food Service Coordinator
Works in a food production kitchen setting with potential temperature fluctuations, exposure to chemicals, communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, and hazardous waste. Also exposed to cleaning products and equipment.
Heavy physical workload; ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and operating kitchen equipment safely throughout the shift.
