Ardent Health Services in Montclair, NJ is seeking a part-time Dietary Technician for rotating shifts. You will support dietitians with patient diet info, meal selections, and documenting preferences and complaints.

Responsibilities include collecting medical histories and food preferences, providing nutritional education, analyzing intake and weight trends, designing nutrition plans, and maintaining patient records while following safety policies.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of institutional dietary service experience or work in a food service environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and navigating electronic medical records and HealthTouch.

Responsabilidades

• Transfer information about patients’ diet, meal selections, preferences and complaints.
• Assist Dietitians by obtaining medical histories and dietary needs from clients and patients.
• Provide nutritional education to groups and individuals, including those requiring special diets.
• Calculate and analyze food consumption, weight changes, and health indicators.
• Design individual nutrition plans and monitor results.
• Create and update patient records.
• Report accidents and injuries timely.
• Comply with safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Interact with patient-related departments, families, visitors, nursing staff and medical personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
